Privacy for the hosted IODD MCP

The service at https://mcp.iolinki.com/mcp receives the tool inputs you choose to send through your assistant, including supplied IODD XML, device identity, project files and package assets. It uses those inputs to author, inspect, validate and export your device descriptions. It does not request access to your complete ChatGPT history, local filesystem or physical IO-Link device. Do not include credentials or personal information in device files.

Working projects belong to the active MCP session. An explicit save stores a snapshot in Cloudflare Durable Object storage for up to 24 hours; it is accessible using its private recovery token. Anyone with that token can restore or delete the snapshot. Use iodd_delete_saved to revoke it before expiry. Exported artifacts use separate private download URLs that expire after 10 minutes. Expiry prevents access, and scheduled cleanup removes expired entries. Export a local copy for longer retention.

Hosting and transport providers process request information, including IP addresses, to deliver and protect the service. The MCP uses a reverse proxy hosted by Hetzner and Cloudflare Workers for processing and temporary storage. Your assistant provider processes the conversation and tool results under its own privacy policy. Local stdio use processes files locally; connected assistant providers can still receive supplied content and tool results. For privacy questions or access, correction or deletion requests, contact andrii@shylenko.com. Do not email private recovery tokens.

Hosted IODD MCP service terms

The hosted IODD authoring service is provided without a subscription charge. Use it for device descriptions you are entitled to supply; use your assigned vendor and device IDs for real products. Example IDs are illustrative. Do not use the service to access another person's projects or disrupt the service. Availability, capacity limits and temporary storage are not guaranteed; keep your own exported copies.

Validation reports identify the checks actually performed. XML schema or model checks do not certify an IO-Link device. The hosted service does not run the separately installed official IODD Checker, test a physical master/PHY, flash devices or verify power-cycle retention. You are responsible for reviewing generated descriptions and firmware mappings against your device and completing the necessary hardware and conformity tests.

The authoring tooling is MIT licensed; see its license and warranty terms. Exported sensor application kits include their GPL-3.0-or-later license and source provenance. Protocol stack and commercial licensing terms remain separate; this service does not grant additional rights to third-party files or firmware stacks. Support is available at andrii@shylenko.com.

Privacy on this site

This is a static information website. It does not require an account or an email registration to read the guides or access source links. Optional Google Analytics cookies help us understand website visits, public download clicks, IODD editor usage and assistant setup actions. Analytics loads only after you choose “Accept analytics”. You can decline or withdraw consent through “Analytics settings” on any page. Your preference expires after 180 days. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals prevent collection. Hosting may process request information, such as IP addresses, as part of delivering the site; see GitHub's privacy statement for the hosting provider's information.

After consent, Google Analytics processes page visits, device/browser information and pseudonymous identifiers stored in its cookies. We send canonical public page paths and fixed action categories, excluding query strings, URL fragments, private referrers, form contents, IODD contents, filenames and recovery tokens. Advertising features and automatic enhanced measurement are disabled. User and event data retention is set to two months; aggregated reports may remain longer. See how Google uses data and Google’s privacy policy, including its information about international processing. Contact andrii@shylenko.com for questions about site analytics or your privacy rights.

If you contact the seller by email, the message, your email address and information you provide are used to respond to your inquiry and discuss the requested licensing or support. Do not send sensitive information you do not need to share. Contact andrii@shylenko.com for questions about your correspondence or to request access, correction or deletion of information you supplied.

External source repositories and related project links are separate websites and have their own privacy information.
